What is the importance of art in your life?
Firstly i've always found art as a prioritised coping mechanism because i'm schizophrenic . Without it i don't know where i would be creatively ,certainly not creating war ,but bringing something peaceful to society.
How do you think Art can contribute to strengthening a Culture of Peace?
I 'd like to think they is a lot more participants like myself who have the opportunity to express themselves in a more expansive manner to preach peace. For example holding non- conflicting peace talks around the world, teaching the youth about peaceful strategies, from a very early age and continuing making that artfelt art .
We are living in a time marked by wars, humanitarian crises, climate change, major political scandals, rising cases of femicide, authoritarianism, and religious intolerance. Which of these issues affects you the most? What concerns you the most at this moment?
A lot of these issues might seem pointless, but actually we all need to play our role and start doing something for these issues. All of them are significant as each other. But can be difficult to approach ,so they often get pushed away and forgotten about . But they does exist.
In your opinion, how can Art contribute to raising people's awareness about the issues mentioned above?
I tend to feel visual arts is more up in your face ,than writing - because you have to decipher what is actually being said. Whereas the visuals gives you more of what needs to be shown in a more dynamic straight manner.
