Art is a huge part of my life. It’s how I express myself, process emotions, and connect with the world around me. It also changes the way I see everyday things - nature, people, places, and small moments often become sources of inspiration.
I think art can strengthen a culture of peace by creating empathy and helping people understand experiences different from their own. It gives us a way to communicate beyond language, bring different communities together, and express difficult emotions or ideas without conflict.
What affects me most is the rise in wars and humanitarian crises, because of how quickly they destroy lives, communities, and people’s sense of safety. I’m also deeply concerned about violence against women and growing intolerance. What worries me most is how easily we can become desensitized to the suffering of others when we are exposed to it every day.
In my own practice, I often explore themes connected to identity, emotions, nature, and the human experience. I believe art can raise awareness by making large or difficult issues feel personal and emotionally relatable. Rather than simply presenting facts, art can encourage people to pause, feel, question, and see an issue from another perspective.
